Just curious what the common opinion is on something like this.

I have the following games on MVS:

King of Fighters 95, 96, 99, 2003
Metal Slug X, 3, 4
Art of Fighting 3
Real Bout Fatal Fury Special
Last Blade 1
King of the Monsters 2
Top Player's Golf

What else should I get? I like most genres except shooters, just not very good at them.

You're missing some good ones like slug 1, neo turf masters, and FFS as well as the sam sho's

That will take care of everything you should get instantly.

I say Nam 1975, Sam Sho 2, Aero Fighters 2, and Puzzle Bobble.
That way you get to play a bit of everything.
Most of those games are around 30-40, except for Nam.

My Dirty Dozen for you:

01. Nam-1975 (if it's not too shooter for you: first game, still one of the best)

02. Cyber-Lip (for the subversive ending)

03. Blue's Journey (ADK Bonus)

04. Windjammers or Street Hoop (DECO Bonus)

05. Top Hunter (sort of Best of SNK Design implemented in one single game)

06. Stakes Winner (for the quirkiness)

07. Ninja Master's (Last Blade Zero, with a better ost)

08. Waku Waku 7 (Sunsoft Bonus and J-Pop)

09. Twinkle Star Sprites (one of the Three Neo-Wonders according to Shito, plus you need an exception for your shooter repulsion)

10. Magical Drop III (Bobak Bonus)

11. Shock Troopers (it's an MVS exclusive, use it to piss of AES collectards)

12. Neo Turf Masters (oliclaude Bonus ;).

Breakers Revenge.

Since you seem to favor fighters, this is a nice one that was exclusive to mvs and never really gets ported like the other fighters on this system.

(Since it looks like you've already picked up your favorites from the main/popular series on the system. I'd have added Pulstar, Blazing Star, or Zed Blade too, but you said you don't really like shooters too much.)

I have to agree with Oli here (Cyber-Lip & Ninja Masters are underrated) - keep these in mind as well: Bomberman, Zupapa, and If you can get your hands on one, Sengoku 2.

Neo Turf Masters is so much better than Top Players Golf. That would be my first move. If you get Top Hunter, get the game's move list somewhere online. It makes a great game better. Shock Troopers is another good one too. I only had number 2. I remember someone saying #1 was better but you had to get the one where you didn't share a power bar. No idea if that's true. Maybe someone can correct/help me on that one.

I like to underline that. NTM instantly gives you absolute control over your shots and the camera always lets you stay on top of things, while in TPG you don't really know how your shot ends up to be -- it's not anywhere near pick-up and play.

You're missing some of the more unique (or less common genre) neo games like League Bowling and Super Dodgeball. If you love fighters, it looks like and you missed out on Sam Sho 2, KOF 98 and 2002 which are great.
I know you're not a fan of shooters, but Blazing Star is addictive, not overly hard to start with and has a real immediacy to it, worth checking out if you go down the multi/flash cart route.
