Been talking doing this for awhile in chat; since we have a shooter of the month, we need to have a Neo game of the month. We'll start with Last Resort! Bust out Mame, your carts, whatever and post up some scores!

Arcade / MAME high scores - Hi-Score format: Score - Stage - Platform

Code:
1. Kid Panda - 552,200 - All
2. Radiantsvgun -161,100 1-4 MVS
3. The Chosen One- 128.500 1-3 MVS
4.
5.

Ahhh shit. This game was in Trap15's tournament over on Shmups last month. I'm kind of burnt out on it, but I'll try to post something up.

Liking the idea of neo game of the month though.

Cool idea!

I enjoy the hi-score mode of the ACA releases for this very reason. :buttrock:

Nah you'll be fine. After a few runs you'll memorize the tricky parts (which there are only a few of).

Stick with the red power ups only, use the pod to clear ground enemies, then spam the bosses with charge shot = done deal.

And his buddy in second place, T

Cool! I was blind, but now I see: It's all Hip-Hop related...

1st ICE = Ice Cube

2nd T = Ice T

3rd P.E = Public Enemy

4th X = Malcolm X

5th MCT = Mic Controller

6th 2LC = 2 Live Crew

7th BDP = Boogie Down Productions

8th ZUL = Zulu Nation

9th LEE = Lee Quiñones from Wild Style

10th MOB = West Street Mob

...you broke the code, EGG ;).

Edit: EGG = what Mobb Deep's Prodigy choked on to death, right?

Nicely done. Interestingly enough there's a trophy/achievement on the recent Arcade Archives version for getting 400,000 points. I was wondering how far you need to get for that.

Chosen One - 251100 - Stage 5 - MVS

Made it to the boss and died, then had another solid run and died multiple times working through the big ship. Forgot to snap a pic, I’ll grab one later when my frustration has subsided.

Finally got the 2-All on this one. Man, I really enjoyed this game, I've never sat down with it all and after spending a solid week working on it, it finally came together. The music is great in this game and I really like the atmosphere. Most of the bosses are somewhat easy which really surprised me. There are some ugly spots in the regular levels though. I don't usually share my videos but I think it's worth it here. I truly believe if you spend some time with it and just focus on safe spots, you can easily knockout the first loop. Sorry for the stuttering at the start of the video, my capture rig is mega old so I gotta let it buffer out a little lol.

Nice 2-all Panda. How does the second loop compare to the first? I've only seen it a couple times myself and tend to get blindsided by the small differences (e.g., number of blasts from a boss or something dumb like that)

Edit: RSG are you tapping out this month already?

The speed of certain enemies are faster as are bullets. Some areas like the hall in lvl 2 have a higher density of bullets. Lvl 1 where the bots spawn in the formation have another spawn wave too. Overall I think the loop is pretty much the same just a little more of everything. I was happy I blew up the ship on lvl 5 in both loops cause I have been trying to do it every run. Sadly he only gives you 1000 points.
