I'm well aware of the butt pain I may receive for posting this...:vik:

I've decided to buy a CMVS but JNX/Arcadeworks arent taking orders at the moment.

I dont mind waiting but thought on the off chance to ask if anyone has an Omega or JNX CMVS (RGB scart) they want to or are thinking of selling?

Drop me a PM to discuss if anyone is looking offload one.

Cheers fellas

Primarily you can order it with exactly what you need.

Want only RGB output? James can build it that way and it will be substantially less expensive.

You don’t pay for stuff you don’t need or want.

Also it’s physically smaller than the Omega. Takes up less space.

And some people have reported video issues with the Omega. I never had those issues with mine, but I only ever used RGB.

Never noticed any video issues on my Omega via RGB or component, though I think I might've gotten it from Yodd IIRC. No horse in this race either way, both are top notch products as far as I can tell.

JNX CMVS > Omega, all day every day.

There are a lot of subtle reasons why. The Omega is a good product and definitely superior to the Analogue CMVS but my Omega had annoying AV issues that you don't get with JNX. JNX build quality, attention to detail, and service before and after the sale is absolutely second to none.

+1. My OMEGA had similar issues.

Based off the quality of my JNX gun, I'd say a JNX cmvs will handle your needs.

I think Xian Xi mentioned temporarily putting things on hold for a new product. ;)

What would you considering advantages of the JNX over the Omega?

You beat me to this question ;)

Want only RGB output? James can build it that way and it will be substantially less expensive.

Thats good to know, because RGB is all I need

JNX CMVS > service before and after the sale is absolutely second to none.

It is definitely concerning that after 2 emails to AW and no reply (judging by their FB page, that isnt an isolated incident). Would hate for that to happen if a problem arose after buying an Omega.

One email to Xian and received a quick reply...

The spam ends now...

But the spam is why we're here :keke:

If you want to talk to AW, they are responsive to facebook messages. Don't bother with emails.

Yeah I saw this, never considered an Analogue MVS.

Either Omega or JNX, though obviously leaning JNX now.

I've never had a JNX but will probably try to get one in the future.

I do however have a few minor gripes about the OMEGA which I've owned for a few years now.

1.) Minor video noise which is probably related to unshielded scart cable.
2.) The build quality of the actual housing leaves a bit to be desired. The plastic is VERY soft and the screws which secure the MV-1C to the base arnt given adequate hole depth so after like 3/4 of a turn they are already "snug" and any more turning and they will strip the hole. Also the body lines from the two halves of the encloser dont really line up on the sides which is kind of disappointing considering how expensive the units are.
3.) The power switch is in the back of the unit.

If you just want RGB, why don't you just build a little supergun. It's easy...

I was between the same two as you were. More or less chose JNX mostly because of the quick response and the choice of what types of output I wanted.

I can't compare it to an Omega since I do not have one, but I have no regrets on my choice.

OK... enough...

There are now enough posts to indicate how Jnx compares to Omega... No more...

PS. I have have let this go because the wanted section is currently inactive... but I don't want this continuing spam...

Take it to an Unrelated thread... or something...

Just get a super gun then you can play everything. Cmvs is pointless.

I may be parting with my Omega, but probably not as quickly as you're looking for. I'll probably let it go around January. If you're still on the hunt, hit me up then.
