issues with 100-1 cart and neo super mvs-snk convertor II v2

Hello everybody.

I am totally new to the NEo Geo Scene. Jsut got me a Neo Geo AEs japan version and mvs aes adapter with a yellow 100-1 cart.

I have a few issues with some games in the cart... like capcom vs snk does not let me select heroes, some games don't play at all and in any top down scrolling shooters (like top airplane shooters) the background scene freezes.

I was wondering if this is an issue with the yellow 100 cart, the adapter, my neo geo, or do I need to use the pot/screwdriver adjuster on the adapter (which i am afraid to tinker with)?

I'm no expert on this, but I'm sure I've heard about issues with 100-1 with a converter before, and that the 161-1 fares much better.

Also, don't be afraid of the adjuster on the adapter, you can fuck around all you like with that with no fears of breaking anything and it does help on some games, but it's not going to make characters available that previously weren't.
