    161 vs Unibios

So experimenting with the crappy 161 (mainly for SSVS) BUT I get errors from unibios 4-5 matches in and game resets, is the 161 incompatible with the 161? Can the Unibios be disabled? Change Region? Crappy version of 161? Using an older MVS 1FZ (?) I believe and Uni 3.2

It won't be the unibios! I've used 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 with the 161 in 1 and had no crashes at all. Either you need to add all the missing bypass caps (and consider diode was for 3.3v regulator - accepting that it might not be recommended following the clamping issue that was raised in relation to connecting 5v to 3.3v logic). It could also be your 5v level dropping too low under load. The 161 in 1 pulls more current than a typical cart and on a weak PSU you may find your 5v is as low as 4.7 / 4.8v (and that can cause that type of problem).

Thanks man, totally agree, my guess is a voltage problem, I'm playing the 161 which sucks more juice than an everage cart on a US MV1FZ board, on a JPN Super 29' Candy Cab. Would it work better with a JPN board? Or is US vs JPN current the main issue?

Awaiting my 4 slot repair, just goofing with this thing until 4 slot return, what a piece of junk
