Rock Band 2 wireless drums (Xbox 360) won't turn on

I bought a dud from someone cheap on Craigslist, and I can't get them to turn on. I tried three sets of batteries, and no go. Is there a simple solution? replace electronic parts?

Cut your losses and just file this with woman as something you can't turn on.
