Was riding my bike and it caught my eye. Rarely see graffiti or art like this in China, pretty neat.

So they do serve Tsingtao at your place, too? A small world...

Do you ride your bike with a fag and a tinny? I love doing that on a summers night ride to the servo for more ciggies.

Sometimes I'll ride with a Tsingtao in hand. NO fags allowed.

Pretty cool, you should of taken a pic of all the murals on that street.

Next time I go to Downtown Los Angeles I'll take some pics of the art.

Do people just leave bikes out like that in China?
Here leaving a bike outside of a store for a few minutes is a risk.

Yeah, in daytime no one's going to steal a bicycle. In fact, bicycle sharing companies have exploded within the past year so there is always a bike somewhere close...just whip out the phone and scan the QR code and it's yours. At night is when you should lock your bike up with a bar or something so no one can take it.

Edit: Looking at the picture again, in fact that bike is one of those sharing ones, you can see a QR code right below the seat. Yet another company attempting to cash in on the craze.

Cool street art.

Asia has some of the best street art period. But surprised to see it in China where law enforcement is enforced more.

I am hesitant to call this graffiti because that implies it was done under the blackness of night and by someone who doesn't own the property. But it appears to me this indeed was authorized by the restaurant's owner, so they could do with it as they liked.

In contrast to America, where the law is enforced to a T no matter the infraction, the police rarely enforce the law here. I will admit Beijing being the capital that things are different from the rest of the country, and that on some roads there are traffic cops. But as long as harmony is not disrupted the police won't care. If you are a person of interest though there are a million little laws that no one knows about and when they choose to enforce one of them that's how they can get you, despite everyone else breaking them every single day and no one caring.

edit: as for Asia having good street art, Yogyakarta in Indonesia has the best I've seen.

I was going to say that looks like a commission, or the artist approached the owner and got their permission. Killer mural anyways, thanks for posting.

I understand now why you are such a ladies man...

In theory you could ask if there are any other murals s/he's done?

It also looks like a vampire mural to the right or something?
