Joypad repair

Hello, I have the chance to purchase a fairly inexpensive but defective joypad. Are the buttons easily replaced or upgraded? I am not technical by nature.

pretty sure he meant two of the 4 buttons weren't working, OP if the controller looks like this: 2n1zynt.jpg
then you're good to go, the buttons can be easily replaced or upgraded to suit your needs

I actually have some used but fully working buttons and button assemblies from those types of sticks, if you need them.

Here's the deal, it may not be the button, it can be the cord itself. I'm in that situation now. The wire breaks inside the cord a lot. I test with a multimeter.

Happened to me with a bean stick. I removed the original cable, put a DB15 connector ans use it with an extension. Works flawlessly.
