JAMMA connectors question

I just bought (my first) Sega New Astro City cab. Only buttons 1-3 are wired, but the JAMMA harness has a pass-through connector- might these be for buttons 4-6?

What is the 10-pin plug attached to the JAMMA edge connector for? Finally, inside the cab what is the unused 10-pin connector for?

Hopefully the photos are clear!

Shouldn't that be plugged up to the monitor? I'm seeing R,G,B and power lines coming out of that thing.

This is your kick harness, I don't know what that other silliness is. Maybe a hack to use button 4 and 5 on a Pandora or some other multi kit?

Ya, it's for buttons 4, 5, 6 for using a multi game cart like a pandora and the guy hardwired it to the kick buttons. I have the JAMMA adapter and the kick adapter for a Blast city/Aero(I'm pretty sure) so I guess he didn't search or ask around.

The ATLAS is a fucking GODSEND - just plug and play.

Thanks guys- this advice is really helpful. I'll get something like the ATLAS rather than use this custom job. I connected the monitor connector!

Connected a Raspberry JAMMA (ArPiCade) today which works fine. Love this New Astro City cab :-)

I bought a Taiwanese 'New Century' candy cab copy years ago, but it's no comparison to the real deal.

What kind of harness is this? This is the one I have, I can't remember if it's for a Blast or Aero or something else.

That's for an astro. plugs into the 10 pin connector in the PCB bay. the other half of that connects to the 10 pin under the Control panel and has QDs for buttons on it.

Thanks dude. Is the 8 pin JST the Blast City one? And what is the Aero one?

I found a CPS2 harness, so can use this with the ATLAS adaptor from JNX, connected to a Pandora 4S for 6-button games like SF. Awesome.
