Yeah I've been using pay as you go lately but none of the old contracts I ever did showed up on my credit.

Only way you can make something unhackable is to grind it up into dust.
My Facebook just got hacked by the Russians.

Edit: This is why I have such a problem with il douche being president. They've been eating away at our right and freedoms for awhile now. Well who cares I trust xyz enough to not abuse their power. But now we've elected a goofy meglomaniac to be in charge though and we have all these possibilities for this brave new world 1984 type stuff going on that you could totally abuse the shit out of. Luckily so far he telegraphs and tweets his plans out loud and everything else has been leaking out.

O brave new world, That has such people in ’t!

Anyhow, I'm going to take some Soma and then go to bed I think.

“What I can say is there are many ways to surveil each other,” Conway said as the Trump presidency marked its 50th day in office during the weekend. “You can surveil someone through their phones, certainly through their television sets — any number of ways.”

Conway went on to say that the monitoring could be done with “microwaves that turn into cameras,” adding: “We know this is a fact of modern life.”

Do you know why they run your credit when you get a cell phone?

Not that anyone remembers, but they run your credit when you try to get satellite TV or (in some cases) POTS service. I forget what the qualifications to trigger the credit check was, but I remember one guy was found to owe a couple grand to Verizon from 1983 or something, back when the phone company was Bell (or Bell Atlantic or whatever). That sale went out the window! :\

Some cell companies have stopped running credit.
My brother in law got approved (By AT&T I think) for 4 lines. Then he ran up a $3000 bill in two months.

The reason why Verizon gets to charge more is that they always had way stingier requirements for underwriting contract phones. So they were always seen as a status symbol among the people that live paycheck to paycheck.

Yeah, i don't care if the gov't reads all my shit.
The problem is that if the gov't knows how to do it, then every ponytail sweatpants IT person can probably figure it out as well.

The only thing I can find that is "new" is that Consumer Reports wrote an article about a developer backdoor in Roku. It is not really surprising.

1. Wikileaks has been *finally* been exposed as an affiliate/controlled asset of Russian intelligence. Everything they published should be seen in this light.
2. The capabilities of most intelligence services are obviously a lot more advanced than was generally understood.
3. This toolset ended up in the wrong hands and the 0-days enclosed were responsible for major cyberattacks.
4. Cyber and Information Warfare have finally stepped out of the shadows and the digital landscape is now a war zone.

So what you're saying is... stop downloading porn?

Got it...

xROTx

funny you should say that...

Porn sites (particularly free ones) are typically used for a variety of attacks.

Not having a life... quite the opposite.

I've been around, just lurking.

1. Where is the information about this?
3. Are you referring to the hack tools from the NSA?

Which the larger picture, the NSA never refuted the information, or the fact that they were holding onto exploits without notifying the companies whose products they effected even for many years. I'm not going to do full blame on anyone who develops a virus with those tools, at least 50% complicit is the US government relating to them.
