Yeah, pretty sure his expressed intent to remove banking regulations to protect investors from brokers is exactly what America doesn't need at all. Predatory brokers squeezing pension checks from old people on the horizon. Yet Aliens vilified.

Well, at least he's not pushing reverse mortgages. That's where I draw the line. :keke:

Oh my god - Betsy DeVos got the confirmation?

Holy fucking shit.

As much as people think the environmental destruction allowed by a Trump EPA will be the worst, I don't think it's right to polarize the education system. For one, it will result in a deterioration of the bible and rust belts faster than anything we have seen, which in conjunction with massive pollutant dumpings and deforestation, those regions, regions that voted in force for Trump, will be fucked hard. As much as I want to say "fuck them", I would prefer that these states be improved and their nature preserved. Losing a region for a hundred years is a poor exchange for 4 years of that racist child predator's "leadership." But worse is that he controls the education of the future, and that future will be fukt.

Not going to get super involved...

I selected Trump for many personal reasons, one is the fact that 2008-9 were very rough years in terms of finding work. Our development was at a standstill and I was constantly being outbid by Russians who had a full on illegal Mexican labor force. Imagine getting the bid on a large hotel renovation and completing phase 1 under budget, under the timeframe and ready to start on phase 2 - only to walk in and see a bunch of illegals putting up walls with screws. What happened? Got my draw from one phase of a 10 phase remodel - contract essentially torn up and having to tell my guys there's no work.

A lot of other personal observations such as free healthcare/food stamps/welfare money being misused and abused while people I know of that really could use a pick me up are denied because they don't have 14 kids.

Yeah I hear 08/09 was rough for many Americans, particularly for tradesman and people who do construction.

Hey look at the bright side, at least you didn't remodel a hotel for Trump and do up to phase 10 out of pocket for him to stiff you.

You like Russians? We're going to be seeing and hearing a lot more from them. Trump is addicted to sucking off Russian cock.

Write your local politicians and complain about whatever with the foodstamps. I think its was last year they changed it so single able bodied people under 50 can't get it. Every study I've ever seen it appears to me rural white people take up a majority of tax monies form entitlements and services. Here's an easy to think about it; It's cheaper to have 11 fire stations for a city of ten million people than it is to have one for a county of a hundred.

TonK, the entire problem you just explained about illegals taking your work sucks, but guess why those situations are so common? Because the rich and powerful know how to work the system for max profit. If anything, it's people like Trump that you have to blame.

Bernie was too scary for most people.
I wouldn't say he's too scary. It's more like he's missing a few steps in his agenda. He talks a good game about redistributing wealth, but when you get into the nuts and bolts of it he calls on things that you know will not work like getting Wall Street to pay for College. People tuned him out (even watched a special where a person brought that up to him in person) when he doesn't talk about laying the groundwork to how he will accomplish this monumental task. He sounds like a blowhard then.

We all could work harder on studying opposing narrative in a due diligence manner. You cannot fully subscribe to either side really. Fucked up stuff like racist ideologies and other crap is always wrong though. I'm actually pro life but also pro choice, I feel its okay to be both. My friend made a good point that you really have no choice. I think many of us are bitter old men since the neo has been dead since 04. I AM a rare example of someone willing to hear out and challenge my own views, but when its pure trolling you ruin the spirit of healthy debate.

He's delivered on quite a lot of what he said he would accomplish in his first 120 days, so I'm hopeful. The way he plays off the media is nothing short of masterful. If he can apply any of that to his administration I think we'll be ok. It's going to be interesting to see how he tackles Sanctuary cities like chigago, & entire states like California straight up refusing to follow the law. I envision a lot of push back like in the 70s where people were burning down buildings & protesting like crazy, but the economy will probably be better off in the end for it.

According to Bloomberg radio, Trump rushed out a lot of these EOs knowing that they were shit and would get knocked down via checks and balances, because he figured he could show it to his shitwit voters that he came through on his promises (but was stymied by the media/bad hombres).

Only in america could a person be democratically elected & do exactly what he said he was going to do while being lambaster over the radio for it. Trump is a phony, he's a clown, there's no way he's going to be the nominee, it's impossible for him to win the presidency, you're a fool if you think he'll delivery on anything in his first week, he won't deport illegals, The murders in chicago can't be fixed, the wall wasn't payed for with a giant novelty check by the president of mexico so it doesn't count as them paying for it, he's insane if he thinks we're going to mars, etc, etc, etc.

There's NOTHING he could possibly do to make people who didn't vote for him happy outside of MAYBE, making weed legal countrywide. Even then the vocal left would come up with more excuses. It's all so tiring. I've become pretty numb to the entire thing. democrats.png

Cop out.

You can't, and won't try because it's bullshit.

Huh? What's bullshit? The fact that the DNC is nothing more than the yin to the GOP's yang? They're just different sides of the same coin.

I cashed out of the Neo altogether in 2006, and could give two fucks about it as far as video games go as there is a TON of stuff I have yet to get to, that is all better than the joke offerings from the Neo in it's final years. Speak for yourself on that one.

Yes we get that, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't call a spade a spade.

Instead of deflecting from the Orangutan and his supporters by trying to shift the debate back to what the Democrats do, or don't do, the goal should be to criticize as necessary irregardless of party. Right now the problem remains that the Republicans hold both houses of Congress and the White House. Mitch McConnell's dick is dripping at the thought of fucking America over, and even if you are conservative leaning, recognizing that the man is a scumbag should be partisan. He and the rest of the hack Republicans are part of the problem. Why you, a person who has said he is transgender would EVER vote for a Republican is difficult to fathom since the Republicans collectively hate everything you represent. You don't think that if they could get away with it, there would be Federal laws being put on the books that deprive you of your rights as a person? Here's the kicker bud, I'm not either Democrat or Republican, but I believe in calling a spade a spade at the end of the day. Yeah Obama fucked up on some things completely as has every President before him no matter their party affiliation. But all of the bullshit rhetoric about him being a Kenyan Muslim was just that, and the country didn't fall apart as the GOP predicted it would because most people don't give a fuck about their stupid bullshit other than angry middle-aged and up white people who swallow Rupert Murdoch's joy juice while simultaneously jacking off to porn as they flip thru the bible.

The American taxpayers pay for the wall, not Mexico. Illegals? Wrong! He's focused on screwing legals - people who are in America legally, but just happen to have Muslim ties. Make America great again? No.

What makes America great is the bill of rights and the system that protects Americans' rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Your freedom of privacy was great. Your ability to get a job or purchase living quarters without question of your religion, sexual preference, or race made America great. Due process, which protected you from unreasonable executive orders and legislations made America great.

It never had fuck to do with jobs. Money comes and goes. It's not a right. You have to work for it. If no one wants you to dig a ditch, don't blame foreigners. Blame your skill set. Get better. Because I promise you, Trump jobs won't set you for life.

I know you say that you're not either a Dem or a Rep...but somehow, your words speak loudly contrary to that. I've read much of what you've typed over the years and I'd say you lean more than you think.

As for me? The answer is simple I choose what I see to be the lesser of two evils. I look at the overall picture and think to myself "what things will these people pass that really will effect me?" Does that make me a selfish prick? Maybe...then again, I don't care and I'm not afraid to admit it. I'm no humanitarian, and I'll openly admit to it.

I look at what these parties claim they want to ban/regulate, then I look at what they historically ban/regulate. I look at where they want power to go, how they give out funds, why they help, and who they ignore. I try to see what side will do best by me, not by you, or my neighbor, or someone else I've ever met. Everything I do on a daily basis is in the realm of how it will effect myself and my family. Nothing more, nothing less.

I'll say that there is a large amount of ground both the L and the R share...far larger than most admit.

In the end, I often vote Republican...not always, but often. I'll never say that I agree with anyone 100%...as a matter of fact, I've long said I really do not care for anyone in national politics (or state politics for that matter). the problem is, I only get to choose one or the othe

Lastly...the transgender issue. I'm a coward, I won't deny it. I do not have the courage to "come out" to a vast majority of people in my life. Truth be told, I regret bringing it up here. This place, at times, skims too closely to my "real" life and in many ways, that truth would ruin me...possibly even my career. Bringing it up here was a huge mistake. I had a few good discussions but for the most part, it's been thrown in my face like some sort of weapon (not saying you did that, because you didn't).

I'm not so foolish to think that Trump, or Clinton, or Obama, or Bush, or whomever is in the White House is going to effect the reality of trans people. That kind of change takes social conditioning, not laws.

me fucking too, but the real answer is that smokehouse isn't actually transgender.

Was that really necessary?

Just curious and I won't mention the issue again, but, when did you "come out" on the forums? I wasn't aware of this until last month. Until then, I thought of you as a manly man with manual labor skills, etc.

Also, I think it's pretty clear that we're in the midst of an attempt (emphasis on "attempt") at social conditioning. Fake news, "alternative fact", blatant lies coming out of the press secretary and the president... They're blurring the lines between truth and fiction, and are hoping to condition the public into thinking more conservatively (e.g., find umbrage in immigrants, minorities, non-heterosexuals, humanitarians, environmentalists, etc.).
