You know what I find interesting? That one can isolate something such as the music and thus at some point, if so wanted, one can experience playing the game purely as a means of contemplating the music itself. It's a different way of playing, focusing on the music rather than the gameplay or graphics, but I've always found it gratifying and even somewhat transcendental. Not striking a pose here, it is what it is

I've always loved the Blazing Star soundtrack. Aside from the game itself having amazing visuals, and meticulous attention to detail (all the stuff going on the the background, that then comes to the foreground for example), the Stage 3 music entering the space station, "Ascenseur," is a favorite. It's the sequence at the 23 second mark that does it for me. It just sounds spacey, and cool, and has real depth to it. It's my favorite shooter on the Neo:
