Hi, I purchased a NGX megapack card off eBay, sold loose. I didn't realize the rocket cable was required to do an update. Am I SOL or is there a way to update it without the cable?
Can you update a Neo Geo X without the rocket cable?

well you could just emulate for free and it is just as good if not better than that trash factory..
but the real deal (if you go mvs) is also still pretty affordable. consider that.

Get a PSP - it emulates Neo pretty well.
I'm shure someones hacked the vita or PS TV to play Neo emu's.
There's a ton of releases from SNK of Neo games on the PS3/Vita/PSP.
The NeoGeoX is lazy trash. Just garbage.

Explain how what I said was "elitist BS".
My alternatives are cheaper, more reliable, and have been proven to be better than the actual SNK product.
Sounds to me the ones crying "elitist BS" are the ones still trying to justify the money spent on that piece of garbage that fools bought because it had a "Neo Geo" logo on it.
