Hello everyone,
We just have sent the 1.06 firmware version to GadgetUK, Sceptre_JLRB and others.
We have already tested the firmware but as allways, issues may show. So as previous versions we will wait for coments and if everything goes well we will compile the firmware for everyone else.
Those are major changes the 1.06 firmware (among with a lot of minor ones
)
1 - jukebox,
To launch jukebox, just press start on "Launch Last Game" menu option,
it will show the jukebox option there.
To have named tracks in Jukebox, it uses BridgeM1 compatible lists. You
need to either create or download them. The best place
to get them is
http://www.e2j.net/downloads.html and download the "list
pack (utf - 8)" file (direct link:
http://www.e2j.net/files/lists.7z).
You must now create a folder in the SD named MUSICLIST and place the
contents of the "en" folder of the 7z file into that folder, so
there is, for example, a file named wakuwak7.dat file right in the
MUSICLIST folder in the SD (not in an "en" folder).
2 - better backup ram handling
Now everytime a game starts, the backup ram is loaded from the SD card and it gets saved on the game ends.
So if the backup ram is broken on the mvs board, it should work aswel
3 - Softdips configuration :
Softdips can be setup from neosd menu for each individual game, just the same way those can be configured from the neo geo test menu.
The configuration can be accessed pussing start button over any of the games on the neosd menu gamelist, you don´t need to flash a game to change the configuration, you can do it over any game on the list.
Soft dips are saved individually per game
4 - Change to MVS mode on AES without unibios (only on FREEPLAY mode), cause AES BIOS can´t handle credits
5 - New MAME roms added such as KOF 99 Korean release and others
6 - You can also enter the MVS bios setup menu from the neosd menu by pressing start on "launch last game" and selection the bios test mode option.
Thanks
