I know a Neo Geo Board can only take 128 and that the 27c020/27c2001 are 256. What I'm wondering is since the 27c2001 has the same pinouts, can I simply just double the rom from 128 to 256, or would it simply not work. thx

Yes, you can always use an oversized EPROM as long as you fill the extra space with duplicates of your ROM, it's a good idea because depending on the EPROM and wiring, it might not start at the first or initial banks.

LOL, yes I do, I normally do it for NES repros I make. Based on what I read I thought the boards ONLY took 128 eproms. Good to know thanks all of you.
