Am I gonna fuck something up if I use a JP21 cable with a PAL GC going into an XRGB2+? Or do I need a scart cable and scart to JP21 adapter before the xrgb2?

Not sure about the XRGB2+ but I use scart with JP21 wiring for XRGB-mini

Yes, I know the xrgb is wired for JP21, but is the PAL a/v output wired so if I use a JP21 cable I'm not going to fry the xrgb because of different pinouts, i.e. voltage going to a different pin. I think I answered my question with the last post:
http://www.bordersdown.net/threads/...es-use-the-alternatively-wired-JP21-RGB-Scart

But if i look at these diagrams:
http://members.optushome.com.au/eviltim/gamescart/gamescart.htm#gamecube

It looks like pin 3 on the GC is 12v, instead of composite.

I think I'll just pick up a scart cable to be safe.

P.s. I have the scart to jp21 adapter thanks to Nick

I'm going with the assumption that the GC will be wired for Euro scart and you'd need an adapter, as the pinouts are different.

Edit: just saw your last post. Lol.

Yes it may damage the XRGB because the scart RGB cable that comes with PAL GC is wired type Euro Scart.
You can either rewire the scart to JP21 instead of Euro (which is what I always do) or get/make a Euro to JP21 scart adapter.
