Street Fighter 4 Arcade Stick

Got one for free and just tested it and looks like the Down signal doesn't register. I confirmed the microswitch is working and there is 100% continuity to the USB encoder board.

Look like these stick are the cheap Chinese black blob types. Is there any drop in replacement encoders or am I really going to have to buy a PS360 and rewire everything?

Did you check the usb cable. Those thing screw up all the time cause ppl jam them in the compartment all cray.

You can probably find a replacement cheap on srk. Guys throwing in brook boards upgrades all the time

Could be a dead internal pullup, I forget the hack exactly but you get something like a 5kohm resistor (exact value doesn't matter) and I think you run that between the input and VCC and that's that. Check SRK this has come up a few times, I'm just going from memory.
