I know Jon man... and actually... it's not the 2nd time... it's prob the ZILLIONTH time...

...The issue is... that it is commonly known, the pawn industry is subject to be used by a certain "clientale".... hence every item you buy... every pawn agreement you make is potentially stolen...

We just have to follow the rules set down and hope for the best...

Easy... we've had cases where husbands, boyfreinds, wives, girlfriends, sons, daughters... etc etc... have pawned in someone elses stuff that they had access too...

It is actually more common than you think... PERFECT example is a case 2 years ago...

A guy brought in a lovely TV... we brought it... THEN the girlfriend comes in 2 days later and claims that he stole it from her and it belonged to her... and they had split up..

They lived in the SAME house at the time... so the Police confiscated the TV...

...Long story short... we managed to get pictures of them holding hands while walking up the streets and showed it to the Police... Rochdale is a SMALL town...

We got the TV back

PS. Turns out they wanted the cash... and then claim the Tv back as stolen

SO, I brought an EFI password haxxor... it basically just keeps pumping in codes until it finds the right one

OK... so i read the manual... it's gonna take upto 175 days (That's close to 6 months)...

I'm guessing you already tried the most common/easy passwords? 123456, 111111, 666666, 999999, 000000, etc?

Or maybe your device automatically has some sort of algorithm rather than a linear traversal from 000000-999999?

It's not a HD password, it's a firmware password.

Wouldn't work.. it's the same as a bios password on a PC/Laptop... you need it to access the harddrive itself... hence, the HDD isn't the prob...
