But Ys is really short and good
Forgotten Worlds PCE lacks a two player mode, but otherwise it completely destroys the Genesis version. Great music too. An Ave 3 pad does help a lot though.

Yeah, I didn't mind it.
My prior experience was on my cousin's Amiga way back when. I never played the arcade.
At least my acknowledge is genuine, opposed to generic crowd-base popular opinion.

The Ys games on PCE are FUCKING FANTASTIC.
They're more like primitive Zelda style action games than actual RPGs.
They're also fairly short, you can beat Ys 1 in like 2 hours. Less if you master the combat system quickly and learn the two tricks to get rich quick at the beginning of the game.
But, hell, Rondo all by itself justifies a PCE CD.
The Exile games are pretty neat too.

For console titles, these games demand a lot from a player.
If you're willing to learn a little bit, they can be a lot of fun.

I've owned both. Poured numerous hours into each. The dash button makes Rayxanbar very tense.
As far as the "LapBoy" comment, you lost me. Good job?
