Can I-PAC work in a candy cab?

So... I was getting my cart filled up on www.focusattack.com with short stem buttons since they have microswitches on them necessary for I-PAC, (or so I think) but then I found out that short stem buttons only fit american arcade cabinets since they're a tad bit off in sizing. I'm wondering, can you somehow use I-PAC on Sanwa or Seimitsu buttons/sticks? Like, can you put a microswitch on them somehow, or is there a way to use it without microswitches? Is there a special brand of microswitches for JP Arcade buttons? Probably a really stupid question to ask, but I'm still new and stupid, soooo... :P

JP buttons work fine, they come with microswitches.

Ohhhh I now realize that these things are microswitches also https://www.focusattack.com/seimitsu-ps-14-g-button-micro-switch/

When I was saying microswitches, I was talking about these which are only for american buttons https://www.focusattack.com/cherry-d44x-75g-187-microswitch/

Thanks for clearing that up, but is one of the two prongs specifically for ground in a daisy chain like on the american one (the lowest bent prong), or can I just daisy chain at my own discretion?

One more thing... I-PAC makes key inputs, right? It's not just for MAME emulation? The answer may seem obvious, but I really want to make sure that I don't screw anything up when I make purchases since all I could see was it being used for MAME, but I want to use it for steam shmups (eg. Crimzon Clover, Ikaruga, etc.). Thanks.

Edit: Also, JP buttons have a .110" connector right? If so, then that means that this daisy chain should fit for 6 buttons and 1 Joystick if I'm assuming correctly: https://www.focusattack.com/10-connection-22-awg-110-ground-daisy-chain-wire/

You just ground chain one post from each switch, doesn't matter which. .110 is fine. Obviously the joystick ground is a specific pin.

Yes the IPAC is a keyboard encoder so you can generally get it working with most PC games with some configuration.
