I'm hoping to do some marinades for summer time. I'm having family over sometime next month to help build a deck in my backyard. I've got my basic marinade for chicken (pretty much a teriyaki sauce minus the ginger adding spice to it). Anyone else got some recipes for marinades or sauces?

What would the cooking time be if Id put this in a crockpot? Looks like just the right recipe for that mad pot.

Necro bump! (talked to Rot about it already, tis okay)

Seeing Sylvie's thread made me wonder if we could keep this one up to show stuff we cook and a possible "how to" in case any us wanna try:
http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?270230-recently-made-sandwiches

For instance, I use to cook a potato omelet and got saved few photos I made of the process:

First, I use around:
4-5 eggs
1,5Kg potato
1 onion

Slash the potato & onion into tiny pieces and fry them at medium power (sorry, don't know how to explain it better in my crappy english) with around 1/2L oil until and move it from time to time to avoid getting one side fried only, keep doing it till it's soft enough you can smash it with a uhhh... one of those things:

Beat the eggs

Dry the oil from the potatos/onion you have been frying and mix it with the eggs you have been preparing:

use the same frying pan with just 1 spoon of oil:

Keep the flame power low-medium or the outside will burn before the inside can gets cooked, around 30 secs after putting everyting on the frying pan, flip it o the other side... I use a double frying pan, it has a hook so I can join them and just flip it without any difficulty (oil has to be added on the other side too if you use 2 frying pan), I usually just flip it 2 times and then it's done:

by adding more eggs and potato you can make quite big ones, this one has 6 eggs and 2Kg potato:

You can also make Pacman:

Depending if you like it more or less done you will have to use more or less power to get the outside cooked faster or slower.

I know it sounds a bit lame but, if anyone wants me to correct any text to make it more english friendly I will gladly edit it.

Look nice food and I would eat the absolute SHIT out of that but the colour and shapes going on in your dining area/kitchen and tableware is startling to say the least. :P

Your english make sense to me but I'm Australian so that probably doesn't say much, we understand all dialects.

Wife and I made breakfast foods for dinner. Biscuits were homemade.

Everything but the biscuits, biscuits are cookies in my country. These look more like scones to me or bread rolls. Interesting.

Scones have sugar in the recipe. Biscuits do not. Kind of sweet vs savory.

Also that breakfast picture is incomplete. Any Georgian worth his peaches knows biscuits need gravy! Also Atlanta has no letter Ts in it, and Pepsi isn't a thing.

Grilled for the birthday. Brats came from a local meat market. After eating one I'm fighting the urge to sleep.

I've been getting in to making bread lately. Yeah, I know I'm like two years later from the pandemic sourdough bread craze, but I've been compiling some recipes that are both easy and that I really like for staple meals.

Even got my own "cook book" going on a steno pad, lol.

Dude, I totally got into making bread during the pandemic. I friggin' love it.

But then my wife was diagnosed with Celiac, which is basically super-ultra-mega-maxi-averse to gluten. She cant even have cross contact. Like in a toaster, if I put a slice of standard bread in there, and then she gets her gluten free toast and puts it in there, she will get sick almost immediately.

I haven't tried making gluten free bread because it just doesn't feel right :(
