Yeah, boards aren't SNK and I've never seen a WW7 w/that many 74 series chips on it.

It's an interesting looking boot. The neo zmc and pcm chips had to come from somewhere. The MASK roms would look pretty legit for some other titles if they were on SNK boards.

That's one of the better looking boots I've seen. Interesting indeed.

Yeah, it's definitely well done. The Yaton "special 100% working" WW7 I had BITD was all EPROMs, this looks much cleaner.

The really confusing part is those ROM chips look very much like SNK Mask ROMs, the kind not made by Toshiba. I forget who makes the unmarked ROM chips, maybe Sharp? That and those Mask ROMs have the correct NGH number for Twinkle Star Sprites, 225.

Seeing how there's SNK customs on those boards (NEO-ZMC and PCM), is it really that crazy to think those Mask ROMs are original? Maybe a real TSS was sacrificed to make this?

Nevermind, checked MVS scans and TSS should have 4 C ROMs, not 6.

Still, it's a very interesting boot for sure.

Yeah, I would ask for a refund if you paid more than $35.00 shipped for that. Or would regardless if you want an authentic copy.

Does it pass the CRC checks in UniBios?

Waku Waku 7 is a very common booted game. I wouldnt be surprised if they did a large run of them and thats why they are machine soldered.

Really confusing...

[EDIT]
HMG, you're wrong, NGH 225 does correspond to WW7 (TSS is NGH 224):
http://www.neo-geo.com/snk/master_list-ngh.htm

So legit mask ROMs, legit NEO-ZMC and NEO-PCM.
It's probably a conversion from AES to MVS. It made sense back in 97 (see the date on the boards).

Got to love OTP roms, to the untrained eye they can pass as the real thing.
