KOF98 score save

I was playing neogeo mode from kof98um on xbla and noticed that after clearing the game i couldn't save my hiscore if i didn't play on default settings. Is that a bug or does it happen on other versions like AES, neoCD?

What settings do you have it on? I don't screw with it too much when I play arcade mode, but I haven't seen the glitch before on any '98 version. Might be bored enough to recreate it on my version.

For example i turned disp cut on, cleared team play with 300k pts but game doesn't let me enter initials. If i don't clear the game then i can enter initials... I'll try single play see what happens.
