Might as well post it here: a Garou MOW score-attack play with B.Jenet that beats Arcadia top. (http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm27631516)
The guy also has top scores on SF2T.

Yes, is the actual top score with that character. Great performance. For unknown reasons, continue on the web the ridiculous sequences of fake / not valid score for Garou, played probably in prototype / hack version.

This time I found this in Cultura Neo Geo forum.

The reasons are known, human nature. I tried the beta on a 161-1 cart, you basically can't slip under an AAA valuation, no matter how you play. BTW, what about the Neo Geo High Score list of best western scores you are working on Gemant? It's one of the most anticipated documents for me. Can't wait to see the best domestic players, that actually did real scores and no tool assisted speedruns.

Sorry for long silence.... in july I update the record list.

For now...

Italy takes the western title again on Thrash Rally.

3' 03"50 is possible for me (with lucky x 2), but I can't see a chance to beat the actual WR of 3' 01"24.

Japan top score is Double x 34. This is possible if you have at least 1,300,000 pts before the last Boss for the first time. In theory, now I can reach 1,200,000. So 100,000 is missing now.

This is incredible! IIRC our mutual friend, GES, had a 1-life-clear with 1,161,180 pts. + 7 extends left after beating the last boss (here's a pic). Your own score from that legendary video was 1,098,740 pts. when you entered the last stage and you used the secret bonus from level 1 (the arm of the mid-boss) and level 3 (the tail of the end-boss).

Where are those 200,000 extra points hidden for a 1,300,000 total before the last stage? More secret scoring possibilities or milking?

For now I study the game from the beginning. In comparison with my old replay I found:

+ 4,000 in stage 1 and 2;
+ 6,000 in stage 3;
+40,000 in stage 5 (or more, is difficult beacuse there are multiple way to play this stage);
+10,000 in stage 6;
+30,000 in stage 8.

The risk level with these new pattern is high. No idea about the other 100,000 missing for now.

the table of sacrifice lives in last stage. You must start with 1,300,000 if you want reconstruct the japanese top score.

Fantastic work, Gemant! Thank you for all the infos!!! Did anyone made a video using save-states to explore what's the most possible score, like it was done for Last Resort?

P.S. The top score is 6,694,510 -- I corrected it in my previous post (#62).

No forever, is a limitate strategy, because you win 150.000 pts for any try, but extend is every 200.000 pts. 34 times is the max possible, if you have 1300000 pts before the last boss. If you have less point before the last boss you can try fewer attempts

Magical Drop III, MVS, Japan [VS CPU, Normal mode]

MordenMagicalDrop3.jpg

Edit: Crap. I just read the rule that the high score entry should be similar to my forum nickname. This is what I've always used. Depending on the character set available during name entry, I'll enter FX [with blank space at the end], FXX [if only letters and numbers are available] or FX❤ [if a heart symbol is available]. It's not the best score in the world, but then again, I haven't seen anyone submit a VS CPU mode score.

Money puzzle exchanger - MVS - vs. cpu and normal (4) difficulty - 4836128 points. Still can be improved, full chains for all levels would be 7M
