No matter what I do, I cannot boot up past the "Produded by or Under License from SEGA" screen. It flashes black then goes back to the OS menu.

None of my other GD-Rom games do this, could it just be a bad disc? It looks good on the underside other than a few scratches

Are you running it through VGA? Some games cannot boot past this issue and can only be played via svid unless you do a disc swap or something.

Yep, try it in composite or svid to check.

Some games do this over scart as well yet work fine on VGA.

Yes, but are all your parameters the same (same DC, Same video cables, same tv)

Just curious.

Yes, they're all exactly the same.

I have it working through S-Video now. But I hate the way it looks.
Whenever I try the force boot trick, it says "Mode not supported" on my TV"

That is bizarre then. I wonder if the cable or DC is going bad in some way and it's not switching over. You could try a different mode on your TV like game or movie but I doubt that would be it.

I'll give Game mode a shot

EDIT: Scratch that. My TV doesn't support Game
mode through VGA

Do you have a different pc monitor or something to test with?
I'm guessing the VGA port forces your tv into PC mode.

Pretty much, I don't have any other choice on that TV. I have a monitor somewhere in my attic I could try out, but the only reason I don't use it is because it doesn't have any speakers.

Update: Tried to use a PC monitor. It gives me the same issue, even when I try the force boot.

It's either gotta be your VGA cable/ Box (not sure which you're using)
or your DC.

You could try an iso rip to see if it's the game too.

Disc rot? Quite a common occurrence with Dreamcast discs.

It is just that one game, since all the other ones I have seem to work fine.

I'm now noticing a lot of scratches on the disc. I'm not sure about disc rot though.

I own this game for Dreamcast. Not sure if I can help though as I think the Dreamcast requires a special VGA cable for that kind of connection. I use AV.

Disc rot? Have you guys encountered this?

I'm gonna have to double check my discs but I believe the last time I checked them they all worked fine and that was a few months back. I've had most of these games over 10 years.

Maybe that's the reason my copy of Last Blade 2 doesn't work.

LB2 for Dreamcast wont work through VGA no matter what trick you try, except for maybe a boot disc. I tried burning a Code Breakers disc but since my computer is being all pissy it wont let me transfer any files properly.
