Hello from TX!

Hello, all! I've been a lurker for awhile, but since I've (finally) gotten an AES system, I've decided to join in earnest.

Been a long time fan of Neo Geo for over 20 years, so I'm glad to have started my collection with a bang (I'll post pics in the appropriate thread soon).

Favorite genres are beat-em-ups, fighting games, and shmups; least favorite is RPGs. Seems like the Neo Geo is perfect for me :lolz:

Other stuff: mainly on Racketboy forums; have a fondness for retro and "esoteric" gaming hardware (3DO, Jaguar); and in any other spare time, catch up on sports (football and futbol, mainly).

Thanks! A few years back there was a local retro store (Games+) who had three games traded in: Alpha Mission II, Ghost Pilots and Magician Lord. Someone bought ML, but left the other two :scratch:

So I ask about the games, they say they're untested, and nothing else NG was traded in. I talked them into lowering the price $5 if I bought the pair, as is. Price = $20 plus tax for them! Both have dogtag inserts and cardboard case, but no manuals. One even has a nondescript $179.xx price tag on it.

That was the second time I had seen AES games in person (the first time maybe 6 years ago), and I honestly doubt if I'll ever see AES games for sale locally, again. I've seen more 3DOs and Turbografxs and import Saturn games in the wild than anything Neo Geo, actually.
