No need for exporting it. We are not the USA, we are cool with what and how we are. No crusade needed.

They did that already; not sure if folks really want a repeat of german cultural exchange; bit rough, especially on the women.

Then move to Berlin and get yourself a new haircut ;). Seriously though, the electronic music scene is/was upfront. It might well be you swayed your hips already to some Kompakt releases. And if you interested in Singers, well, Justus Koehnke was never afraid of Schlager. Otherwise, there's Speicher, baby.

Well, to make it short, most of the well-known German beers like Krombacher, Löwenbräu, Bitburger, Warsteiner or Becks are bland garbage. It's a pity they represent our beloved national drink around the globe.

I like the pronounced hops taste, it's one of the better mass-produced Pils types.

From the beers from up North, I still get a kick out of Flens. Other than that, I stick to our Frankonian stuff, specially Schanzenbräu. Their Helles is a gift of god.

What do you prefer regarding German beer?

    I haven't tried those ones.

It's difficult to make a useful recommendation because the beers I really like come from the region where I live and most of it gets consumed locally. So... my faves are Schanzenbräu, Krug, Hetzelsdorfer, Cadolzburger, Zirndorfer Festbier, then there's Hopf Weizen, Erdinger Schneeweisse (only available during Winter time) and some specialities like Schlenkerla (a ham-smoked beer), König Ludwig Dunkel, Maibock and Eisbock (from various breweries). Non-German beers I like are Peroni from Italy (my fave foreign beer), Speckled Hen from the UK, Sapporo from Japan and Kilkenny red ale from Ireland.

There we go, tastes are tastes, eh.

Do you mean Koelsch? Some Koelsch beers are okay but I can't stand the super-small glasses they serve them in.

I do, my keyboard is shit.

It's because it goes flat quickly, but it can be annoying when you have 2/3 gulps and it is all gone!

Yup, Erdinger should be easy to find outside of Germany as well. Their Helles Hefe is quite nice, although it could go with a tad more yeast. Nothing beats Hopf Weizen from Hopf Miesbach in this regard.

Speaking of Erdinger, I have to stock up on Schneeweiße before it's too late, it sells like hot cakes.

Roughly 900km/560mi from North to South and 650km/403mi from East to West (linear distances at the widest spots).
