MVC2 naomi netboot altered rom?

does there happen to be a netboot file of this floating around anywhere with all the characters unlocked right off the bat? since i dont have a super cap on my naomi board doing the system menu cheats seems like my only option, but would much rather a simple hacked file. anything out there?

orrr... any tips on how to keep a full roster unlocked? whats the mouser or digikey code for a super cap?

Have not seen or heard of a hacked file unfortunately. I know someone sells replacement supercaps... Geezer maybe? They're out there, I can look for a part number later if you can't find them.

So, if you -only- boot MVC2 it really should save the characters until you boot a different game. I thought the supercap was only for accounting data and wouldn't affect that but correct me if I'm wrong.

They seem to be very hard to find now, http://www.jammarcade.net/sega-naomi-super-capacitor/ lists 3 sources and only 1 has one in stock and that's in the UK. Good luck...

hmm looks like only booting mvc2 might be the way to go for a while. was unsure if the supercap stored save data.

fwiw, there are people that edit the mame roms to perma unlock the characters...

I'm pretty sure they're doing that with save state, I haven't found otherwise. If you can find a copy of the mame rom like that there's a 50/50 chance I could convert it for netboot.

I've used the codes before with success, can't remember having to do anything special.
