I have a MS2930 manual tri sync monitor in my Blast. I'm probably gonna hook my 360 up to it.

I'm curious if I will need to flip the monitor over to a higher res setting or if I can leave it at 15khz?

That's what I figured, worth a shot. Thanks Panda. I guess, if I must, I will flip a dipswitch now and then.

I forgot that the thing even worked with Scart. Component on my PVM doesn't look nearly as good as RGB.

Don’t forget that a manual sync ms-2930 will likely go into auto-shut-off safety mode due to the 360’s wonky VGA output. To avoid the image going black you may need a sync stabilizer such as a cheap Extron RGB 160xi, or something similar.

Anyone out there with just 15k cabs should give the 360 a shot through scart. Its a pretty impressive picture, far better than you think it will be.

My 360 always looked better through scart at 15k on an ms9 than it ever did through vga on a wei-ya chassis at 31k. Granted you will get an image that will blow you away on a tosh in a new net, vga 360 is fucking eye melting on a nnc.

I have a 360 SCART cable and I agree, it looks killer on my PVM. I'm pretty sure the DB15 input on the Nanao will still accept 15khz RGB, as I think that is how the versus kit works. So maybe I'll try rigging up some kind of SCART->db15 adapter.

I didn't know the 360's VGA is not compatible with the monitor, thanks for the heads up. More reason to try and stick with RGB.

It's not incompatible, the 2930s just need a stronger sync. They will accept 15 KHz over the HD15 (VGA) connector, but you will need a lm1881 and rgb amp to not only get it to display, but be bright enough to see.

Worth noting, spend the few dollars extra on the microsoft official VGA 360 cable since the 3rd party ones are known to be crap.

He's not even exaggerating in the slightest, everytime I play it makes me cry a little.

Even on my ms2933 (net city) it looks great with an official VGA cable. No sync issues but it is an auto-tri
