I love any ridiculous, over-the-top, embarrassing-to-watch porno games. Love em. If they've got porn, I'm buying them. Purely because I find them hilarious.

Some of my favorites are the yakuuken special (huge party game. The girls look so uncomfortable, like they're being held at gunpoint. Maybe they're doing it to pay off their fathers gambling debt.) The gals panic franchise,, and the king daddy of them all, Hunie Pop on the pc. I played the hell out of that.,

EDIT: money puzzle exchanger is an honorable mention.

Though I was being semi-rhetorical/tongue in cheeky and just trying to engage someone in a conversation about CROWS (won't happen)

Wont happen ? Could totally happen !!
But like OC I was also lil confused on your stance and didnt fully get your reply.

I belive Ive heard people say it was in their opinion a lack luster Beat em up with poor hit detection and some scoffed at the load times and amount of loading but honestly I enjoy the game and its repetitive game play, i mean hey its a Beat em up and one based on a awesome manga. I love the art style as its reminisce of the book but also altered like an homage in SD, a for the loading I still don't mind any loading on past gen consoles as i remember geeking over my TG16CD and never minded the trade off of loading for cutscenes or voice acting.

I enjoy the two Sailor Moon brawlers on SNES. They are girly, easy and cheesy but I like them.

I have always liked the arcade one, which is of the same fair.

Genesis Altered Beast is my guilty pleasure game.

Fuck these losers.

I wouldn't say crows has poor hit detection. What bothers me about the game could be caused by my own Japanese language ignorance. It at least appears that the build-a-combo feature is supposed to be a substantial part of the game (maybe not though, they consume health and could just be superficially gimmicky desperation moves). I'm assuming the interface menu used to create these combos provides some sort of vital information I'm unable to take advantage of. Any combo I've tried to create is completely useless.

The characters will animate the attacks I've picked, but nothing really combos, and I'll get hit out of them. IF this is a product of poor design, then fine, crows sucks. However, if I was able to either put in the time to figure out everything behind the create-a-combos, or find a thorough English friendly everything you need to know about crows lesson, then I'd feel better in making my final assessment.

The game is definitely playable and I was able to clear it on one credit. However, during that run I used only jump kicks (and the occasional stomp and throw) for practically the entire game. Real fun..

I tend to view games as personal guilty pleasures when they fall within the bounds of these two descriptions.

Yeah.

Fuck these losers.

The language barrier on menu is a big problem for sure, my saturn is all packed up from the move and the addition of our son these last 3 years hasn't lent any extra time to play but i do recall when i was playing this every day with my buddy for a long time we had made some notes and the combo system worked better then going at it blind. That said it wasn't perfect or even close really. It was a more playable than the jump kick to the end method for sure.

Im still having a hard time figuring out if you actually enjoyed the game lol.
Ether way talking about it really makes me want to make some room for a small screen in my studio to break out the saturn, which I think I only have kept about 5 games for over the decades. Crows obviously is one of them. Defiantly more fun with 2 players thou.

Sword of the Berserk. Early DC title. Horribly aged graphics and sloppy mechanics. Oh but teh blood

Gauntlet IV: The best old school Gauntlet on any platform. Been playing Gauntlet for 30 years and I still love it.

Space Harrier: It's not a shooter. It's an acid trip.

Def Jam: Fight for NY: Hip-Hop *AND* a solid fighter? Oh yes.

Pressing a random button during any Neo Geo Quiz game and getting the answer right on the first try.
Gauntlet IV is one of the best in the series, as it's an RPG. Most Gauntlet games (on consoles) are arcade games, where the levels repeat after 10 or 20 levels.
I also like Golden Axe. Games that are old and dated, with shallow gameplay compared to today's games, but still fun.

I have secretly enjoyed the first stage of Green Beret (MSX) without vomiting blood.

Your mahjong mention reminds me of another two possible categories for guilty pleasure gaming:

1. Games you don't understand because of too complicated rules and/or a language barrier, but you play them anyway. Like playing Go or Shōgi no Tatsujin. That said, are there any Japanese Quiz games players around? ;).

2. Games that are supposed to be unplayable because of technical reasons. Ninja Jajamaru-kun for the Famicom is a great game, but it's like 15fps (!). I'm guilty of liking it, though. There are others: Space Harrier II on the Mega Drive, Galaxy Force II on the Saturn and many 8-Bit ports of arcade games. They're mostly good games, but technically a disaster. And just think of the fake parallax scrolling on most PCE games, like Y's III or Ninja Gaiden. A real game breaker? Or just a guilty pleasure to enjoy?

Starblade alpha for me something about the game i love and i keep on coming back to it, boils down to moving a crosshair around and shooting stuff but i can't get enough of it.
Rival turf on the snes is another, a very dodgy brawler that i got a soft spot for.
Also honourable mention to road avanger, fmv games get a bad press (and for good reason) but i love playing this on the mega cd, and hands down my absolute favourite all time opening title track it's so cheesy and bad it's frigging awsome.

Long Live the Queen (Steam) - Its basically a Sansa Stark Simulator. And it has some quite brutal deaths (and achievments).

Similar, but not really guilty is Crusader Kings 2.

Ridiculously good ost on that game.

I play World of Tanks. Man, that game has the most toxic community ever. Plus the game can be incredibly frustrating. Still can't get enough of it.
Ditto beside it being one of few games that support the multitap.

I thought I posted in here already, but I agree 100% on Altered Beast for the Genesis/MD. I remember playing this at K-Mart as a kid when I had a NES and I was blown away by the graphics. I revisit it every other year, fully realizing it's crap, but I still have fun.
