An Amiga set of videos would be cool, then top it with some Turrican love!

New video!

I wanted to have this out a week earlier, but had a hard time finding the time to edit it.

Youtube gamer channels are the cancer jacking up retro game prices.

I am just going to write you off as being stupid as it's pretty obvious you haven't even bothered to look at my channel or it's content. Because with only a couple exceptions, it's mostly a hardware channel and a vintage computer hardware channel at that. Very little console content at all.

So yeah, kill urself my man.

Most Youtube gaming channels are horrid, but there are a few exceptions, usually created by older guys like us who actually know stuff. I'm partial to the Nerd Cave since Yodd has the same monitor setup as I do ;)

The editing is better on this one. Though you still ramble a little bit here and there. Do you write a script out before you recorded your voice?

Well, I try.

Do you write a script out before you recorded your voice?

Yeah, 95% of it's scripted. It's probably that 5% where I get off track.

In case anyone in curious, in the case of this video, here is how this video editing process went down:

Source footage: About 30 minutes worth of video (would have took more, but only had a 32gig SD card in the camera with me - 4k footage is a pig).

Number of clips: 80

Took quite a while to go through all the clips and figure out what stayed and what wasn't necessary.

Did a rough edit with all the footage in the timeline in the order I more or less wanted to present it. At this point it was about 11 minutes long.

Started writing the script for parts of the video.

Recorded the voice overs and writing out the rest of the script along the ways. Basically write the script for a part, record the voice over and move on to the next part.

Continue trimming and editing the video as I went along. I really wanted the video to be well under 10 minutes.

After most of the work was done, went back through the audio and ran a multipass compressor on the voice over track to try and normalize it. Put in the background music (from an Atari ST Magazine disk menu music) and groomed it over a bit (lower volume to -30db to -24db, ducking the audio in parts and etc).

I would say this video took about 6 to 7 hours worth of work to create from initial video filming to editing to finished product. Something along those lines. The video was edited in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015.

But I enjoy it. That's why I make them.

There's only one Youtube retro gaming channel you need to be subscribed to. Great production value. I'd watch it on TV. It's not over the top like a LOT of them out there now.

For hardware stuff and vintage computer stuff, Yodd's is awesome. Check it out.

You were upset that he made fun of something made specifically for children?
