It might be a silly question but...what is the safest way to open an AES cart without damaging it and how do I identify a bootleg? I bought a Garou Mark of the Wolves and want to check it when it arrives. I didn't find much help on Google.
Thanks for any help!

jamma-nation-x.com has a guide on opening AES carts.

On a Garou MOTW, a bootleg will most likely use tiny flash chips on adapters for the C ROMs, because the original ROMs are too big for EPROMs.

Thank you.
I guess I'll try on my Samurai Shodown first. About the flash chips, C ROMs, EPROMs etc I have no idea what they are, so I guess I will need help when the game arrives. :lolz:

EDIT: I just read this (http://tymkrs.tumblr.com/post/12328620000/rom-prom-eprom-eeprom) and now I have some information. :P
