Anyone know what this circuit is for on my monitor?

One pin says +30V and the other says H_SYNC.
It's printed WGM2550-U4GR17J on the chassis.

Is that white wire supposed to be hooked up to anything?
I have an older picture where it looks like the white connector was hooked up to the +30V line.
I think the cats may have knocked some stuff loose on the monitor at some point.

Thanks!

Damnit, just noticed I posted this in the wrong forum...

I have a 25" U500 WG with a similar resistor. In the manual it did not state its purpose, but it did say to switch from one pin to another to effectively enable/disable it, based on the chosen horizontal refresh rate.

I wonder what the worst could happen if I choose poorly.
I remember getting berated in another thread when I plugged it in without knowing if it needed an isolation transformer or not :)
Luckily this one didn't need one!

According to some googling and that sticker in the first picture it's for switching between 25khz and 15khz mode.
Although some threads I found make it seems there's a little more to it. Who knows!
