I can't think of any really besides Gradius Galaxies and Steel Empire for the GBA, and I already played those on other systems. Is there anything good that's original for a portable system?

Judgement Silversword for Wonderswan Color comes to mind.

Still in general shoot em ups aren't greatly suited for small screens as it's hard to see enemy fire.

Even without the upgrade a lot of the shooters play fine. I've played a lot of R-Type, Parodius, Blazing Lazers, Star Soldier series, and AIR ZONK on it just fine. The upgraded LCD would probably help though!

Yeah but the new LCD is so much better.

Once you play on one it's difficult to go back to the stock screen

I'm thinking about making a few more of my LeapsterGS Neogeo handhelds if anyone's interested:


The emulation is spot-on, for example raster-effects like the rotation effects in Neo Turf Master are accurately emulated. If there's interest I can sell them for $115 shipped in the US.
