I got my hands on this neat piece of hardware:

It's a chinese Garou bootleg with custom pcbs. No luck using my Altera-USB-Blaster to read the program code from the CPLDs. Interesting stuff anyways...

Alex, buddy! The only man that sees something interesting in a boot made in China ;). Is there a potential use in it anyway? Or is it just the curiosity? C'mon, your projects are legendary... and now this all of a sudden? Tell us more...

I recall seeing at least a Metal Slug 3 bootleg with similarly short PCBs like that. It always struck me as silly looking. Imagine how light a cartridge would be with boards like that.

It's amazing that all these years later people are still bootlegging Neo Geo games and making new PCBs to do so.
