Does anyone hates douchers on their phone during concerts...Dude...stop, it doesn't matter, your footage will suck, there's tons better online, just enjoy the show, not even the best picture you'll take out of the bunch would even come close to what you can find online, just enjoy the show doucher!

Agree 100%, they should be banned. A few years back I was at a Danzig show and this happened:

Glenn is a fucking hero! :lolz:

Sometimes I'll take a photo or two, but that's about it. I prefer to watch live events with my own eyes rather than on a 5" screen in front of me.

Edit: Also to wyo's post, Glenn most likely did that because he's turned into a fat old fuck. When Samhain reunited here at Riot Fest he had them kick all the photographers out of the pit area because he didn't want to be photographed.

Saw Echo & The Bunnymen and Violent Femmes last night. Apparently it was the first night of their co-headlining tour together. Two bands that I greatly enjoy and they put on a very good show.

I'm going to that on Saturday here. Tix are super cheap and they're playing a 20k venue with only the seats open, no lawn. Should be cool and being St. Louis should be empty!

Saw Journey at the casino. I'm casually into them; my girlfriend wanted to see them and she had a good time.

Might go see Lords of Acid, Combichrist, En Esch, Christian Death, but money is tight and none of my friends or G/F want to see them.

Went to a six band 80's concert... Howard Jones, English Beat, Paul Young, Modern English, Men Without Hats, and Katrina. Cheap tickets and a fun show. Each band played 15-20 minutes then a quick stage reset for the next band. Howard Jones was the headliner and the only act that played more than 4-5 songs. Wish there was more from The Beat, but 15 minutes with each of the others made an interesting night without much filler.

I'm very envious! I would love to see Modern English.

Friday, October 7, I went and saw a local band, Japanese Breakfast, play at an unusual venue --batting cages. I totally recommend checking them out on bandcamp.

A year and twelve days later, I saw Japanese Breakfast again last night. This time in a church basement supporting their new album "Soft Sounds From Another Planet".

I saw lords of acid on my birthday in like... 2009.

Great show! That red headed chick who won the bret Michaels love reality show was the front woman. Sadly no Traci Lords

I'm tempted to see KMFDM on the 27th but I have to work the next day at 8am. Has anybody gone to their recent shows and can tell me if they only play new stuff or do they play classic stuff from the 90s? Last time I saw them was like 2004 at the 20th anniversary show.

Saw Kurt Vile and Courtney Barnett last night at the Tower Theater.

Good show as they supported their heralded duo effort, Lotta Sea Lice.

Just saw Death From Above 1979 last night. Great show. Cool venue too, UC Berkeley Theater. Those guys really are pretty fun live. The opening act was The Beaches, four piece rock band from Toronto. They were ok, the lead guitarist had pretty cool tone.

A few weeks back I saw NOFX and Bad Religion. Both those bands were fucking awesome! Never really got too much into either band. Definitely thinking that is a mistake. I'm not sure why when I was younger I pretty much rejected most punk bands, but I did. The more punk I listen to as I'm older, the more that I love the genre (when it's done right at least). My brother-in-law is a pretty big punk fan, he had an extra ticket which is why I went to the show. I need to talk to him some about some other bands I should be checking out. I bought NOFX's Punk in Drublic the other week and have been listening to it a shitload lately, after one or two listens became an instant favorite. Why the fuck wasn't I listening to this album in highschool?!?!

Saw Sunbathe, Bad Bad Hats, and Typhoon last Friday, January 26, 2018 at Union Transfer here in Philly. I didn't know any of the bands prior to the show with the slight exception of Typhoon.

Really like Bad Bad Hats outta Minneapolis the best and I highly recommend them.

Saw Godspeed You! Black Emperor last night. I have been a fan since the early aughts and was excited to finally see them live.

Show was a'ight. Their lack of any interaction with the crowd was a little off-putting.

Went to the "Celebrating David Bowie" show a few weeks ago in Seattle. Band was pretty great, 2 out of the 3 vocalists were good, but the song selection was... unsurprisingly mostly just the hits. I think there was maybe 1 song from the 80's (Let's Dance), none from the 90's, and 2 from post-2000. So the show was mostly from the 70's and I think they did about half of the Ziggy Stardust album.
