Moved a while back and until they run cable internet I'm stuck using either satellite internet or a 3g/4g cellular hotspot for connecting my consoles online. The satellite is fine for maintaining a connection or downloading but is obviously useless for any type of gaming. The 3g hotspot is actually not too terribly awful but varies from game to game. Games vary from being totally unplayable to somewhat good with occasional bursts of lag.

Can anyone mention some games playable on shitty connections? So far I've found:

Call of Duty 3 (amazingly even playable on satellite)
GTA IV (and to a lesser extent V)
Black Ops & Black Ops 2 (harder to find games on II)
Red Dead Redemption
Modern Warfare 1-3 (often have problems finding games)
Battlefield Bad Company 2
Final Fight Double Impact
Fist of the North Star 2: Ken's Rage
Duke Nukem Forever
Street Fighter IV (plays at about 75% speed)

Fatal Fury Special is capable of getting decent connections all across the world. Darkstalkers, 3rd Strike, and Marvel Origins has the ability to change your frame delay depending on how shitty you are. D&D Chronicles of Mystaria should be easily playable if you can find anybody.
