How good is the Dodonpachi port on Instant Brain?

Is it possible to load a save file somehow rather than sitting through the whole novel?

Anybody have experience with doing this?

I got this game on amazon for like $18 bucks. The save file works great for DDP, but as stated no Tate. Just play the game in mame if you want it emulated.

There's also no button config. However the buttons they chose match up perfectly on my stick so I got lucky there.

I went through the novel using a faq, it took 10 or so hours to get DDP unlocked.

I was actually planning on getting this to try my japanese at playing the visual novel, and surprisingly not for Dodonpachi.
