I know its sacrilege, but since selling up most of my AES collection I've been looking at emulation of the Neo roms.

I'm currently using a Raspberry Pi and FBA as the emulator (as opposed to gngeo or mame4all), and to be honest its not too bad given that a Pi costs about £25.

At the moment I'm just outputting HDMI to an HD TV, so definitely not a retro feel, but the results are here if you want to check them out.

I'm thinking of using an SLG3000 to add scanlines.

Cheers.

Save your money. Get a Xbox 360 controller and just play MAME on the pc.

PS4 controller is also really good. Good dpad and comfortable. No special drivers needed easy, plug it in and works.

Is it more comfortable than the 360 Controller?

In my opinion, by a long shot.

The XBone controller is also really comfortable, don't know if it works on Windows without drivers etc... (or at all).

Will both controllers work on windows 7?

Both controllers are kind of pricey though. Might wait for the prices to come down a bit.

I haven't a Pi yet, on the Mac I use mainly a Club Nintendo SF or a Neo Geo Pad USB. Wired PS3 or XBOX 360 are the ones recommended/fully supported by lakka.

Also, the white USB Saturn controller is pretty well regarded.

PS4 definitely does. I use it all the time in MAME and Steam games. I don't know about the Xbox one I've never tried with mine. Not sure if Microsoft sells the adaptors to hook them up to windows wirelessly like they did for the 360 ones.

I'm curious about that stick.
NGCD Sticks have the best neutral response to me. How does it compare?

I am using an old laptop (core2duo, 3GB RAM, 160GB disk) to run Fedora Linux with attract-mode (http://attractmode.org/). only emulator I run on it at the moment is MAME, for CPS1, CPS2 and PGM needs. Works really well so far.

Regards.
