Bah. Those guys were my favorite way to level up (most of) the familiars. Just stand up on the ledge where they can't get you and let the game run for a while as the familiars kill them.

Dracula's greatest defense. You have to make it through all the monsters and traps before you have to crap or you'll need to turn around and head home or try and fight while needing to take a dump.

My guess would be that, at the point in history in which SotN occurs, people were still using chamber pots, or just going outside, and that toilets, as we know them, probably didn't exist yet.

Still, it's a good point that game developers sometimes leave out practical things like, restroom facilities, when they do level design.

As long as they keep toilets in Metal Gear Solid games. Sneaking up on a poor fool taking a whiz and breaking his neck is one of my favorite things in gaming.

Did anyone question what's actually inside the phials of Holy Water scattered throughout the castle? Maybe those are just piss jugs hidden behind candles.

the last 2D metrovania came out a little over six years ago

from 2001 to 2008 there were six of those games

i guess what i'm saying is

we may never see the 1999 Julius Belmont vania we have all waited for ever since aria came out nearly 12 years ago

i remember a time when people whined about so many similar games coming out within such a close time

now i long for those days
