Back then some guy in Japan used a DC fishing controller to beat Soul Calibur it was incredible, but then Nintendo used the Nunchuk controller for Wii and it became standard. I wonder if one of the next gen consoles will use a dance pad as standard controller.

One can only hope. They sure have gone out of their way to kill any type of backwards compatibility with peripherals in recent generations, that's for sure.
