Hey guys. Some of you may know me from the work I've done on the CFC2English project (http://cfc2english.blogspot.com/) or from the NGPC Flash Masta project (http://www.flashmasta.com/). Or, maybe more likely, you may not know me at all.

At any rate, I wanted to talk about a project I've been working on for a while now that finally came out on iOS. It's a collectible card game with real-time strategy elements called "Trouble With Robots." Below I will attach a screenshot and a video of me playing one of the levels.

Picture a CCG where your card play affects real-time battles that are taking place. The further along you get (or the better you do), the more cards you unlock. These cards give you a better library to choose from when building a custom deck for each new battle.

The storyline is pretty witty and humorous, as you help a group of inhabitants save their wold from an invasion of robotic oppression.

If you have an iPhone/iPad/iTouch, you can try it now. It's free to download at http://itunes.apple.com/app/trouble-with-robots/id849799076?mt=8

If you have an Android device, it will be available soon. In fact, it plays fine on Android already. It just needs a bit more integration with that system, and it should be good to go.

The game has been getting amazing ratings and reviews on iTunes App Store. I just find that it's difficult to spread the word, as we're a tiny indie team that's bringing it out. Any help with that piece would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys!

So you're saying you actually made a game and then came here to promote it?

Shit, that's a breath of fresh air. Most guys do the opposite. I'll definitely buy it.

Your first line had me worried that you were calling me out as a SPAMmer or something. :D

Yeah, it wasn't all me, but I am the primary programmer working on bringing it to iOS & Android.

If you download it (and this goes for anyone here), play at least a few levels, and then please come back and post your reaction/review/whatever.

Thanks!

The game is top shelf quality and deserves a lot of attention. It could easily be an app of the week on the apple store.

The game play comes as advertised. A defense game with cards. It's straightforward and easy to pick up.

The artwork and music are great. This is professional. You guys should be really proud of yourselves and I hope that this leads to you all getting rich.

One idea I have is that it would be cool if you could implement hero cards, for a 200hp unit that might have really high stats for range attacks, melee, or blast damage spells.

Only one of each could be summoned on the field. Would be useful with the full heal spell.

Which makes me think, the combo system could be more fleshed out. I liked summoning a ranger and then trolls.

Thanks for posting the URL. I think I invited you to test it on Android (Google Play). That's what I'm working on lately.
