They need to make much wiser decisions when it comes to licensing their brands to other developers and vendors.

The Asia-only Korean developed mobile games like this one have been anywhere between "meh" to "total garbage", and it hurts the franchise brand more and more whenever a crappy title gets released.

There's also that whole Neo-Geo X Tommo deal, which as we all know, ended up being a complete success with both companies having a great relationship with each other. ;)

Throughout SNK's history, its been pretty clear that they, like Nintendo, have been much better suited to develop their franchise titles and hardware on their own. ADK and Noise Factory are lone exceptions to that rule, both of which are now internal to SNKP anyways.

Is there even a proper game development section within SNKP anymore? KOF XIII is a four and a half year old game. What did the development team do since its release?

I've been wondering the same too.

My only guess is they either got laid off or got assigned to develop their mobile games.

This isn't the first time this has been asked about SNKP and it won't be the last. It feels like it did back when we had that big dry spell after KOF XI, though this is arguably worse.

The least they could do is announce something.
