Good work that man!!!

That's how the screens should have looked.
Not sure about the battery mod, that's brutal!!
How long did it take this time?

It took me Saturday and Sunday to finish it, I could have done it maybe in one day if I had worked on it the entire day and everything goes smooth.

Yeah the battery mod just looks horrendous, but this way you can have more than one pack, so if one battery pack dies you can just put in another one and keep gaming.

At least you don't have to look at the dang thing lol.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to make the battery mod better looking, please post them up.

No problem, glad to help.

Hi BladeDancer,

Don't get me wrong, I think the battery mod is ingenious!
Especially the way you've incorporated a charging port.

As you are no longer using them, you could remove the old terminals and gain a little extra space.

How would your mod compare with simply using good NiMh rechargeables in the original configuration?

The thing about those rechargeable batteries is that they are not 1.5 volts, they are closer to 1.2-1.3, and once you turn on the power the voltage probably drops even more.

I'm not even sure if the system would turn on.

I leave the old terminals in there because they actually help stabilize the battery pack.

Ah, I see.
Well, you are certainly a talented chap.
I collected handhelds SERIOUSLY for nigh on 20 years and the NEC effort never entered my collection because of it's 'limitations'.
Your mods cure it SPECTACULARLY!

Just got it back.

AMAZING. If you can get him to do yours, I *highly* suggest it.

Looks huge, clear and stunning. Work is all clean, professional and more importantly functions flawlessly.

That's amazing...

Speechless on how fantastic that looks.

If I ever find a TurboExpress, that's a mod that must be done.

Congrats and enjoy!

Next time try using a flat pack battery, you can easily find one that fits and has the same capacity. Nice job though.

I can't say enough good things about this thing. I play it all the time.

Side Arms is playable on the express!

The Star Soldier games look awesome as well.

Best mod of anything I think I've ever had done.
