Hello,

I am registered on this forum for years but I usually do not post.

I am 36 years old, I play video games for 30 years and I decided to build a full set of neo geo MVS loose carts. Started in 2003, today my collection includes 90 carts.

NB: This is not a for sale thread, please don't ask.

Of course...not !
Years ago I was more player than collector. It has changed.

It is not always easy to find time to play, and I've got other consoles and collections too.

The games I played the most are Twinkle Star Sprites and Money Puzzle Exhanger :)
Sometimes I play with a Metal Slug or a shoot'em up.

Dear Frog,
Please organize your carts in some kind of order i.e. alphabetical.

P.S.
Is that your white flag behind your collection

I'm digging that Atomiswave cab.
The Astro is spectacular too, but that Atomis is "teh bomb".

Dear Frog,
I don't call you Yankee or Doggy, so, please, just call me Tony, or don't write.

Please organize your carts in some kind of order i.e. alphabetical.

When they are on the shelves, the games are organized, according my way to order, which is not alphabetical.
If I want them in alphabetical order, I've got excel for this :D

No, it is not a white flag. We have never been at war. Right?

Yes, perhaps, but calling someone "frog" is insulting.
Insulting people is disrespectful and not either a good way to welcome.
So what should I do? Agree to let me insult wihout saying anything? No way, sorry :(

You should accept the butt-rape.
This is Neo hyphen Geo Dot Com :)

After the pain's gone, you'll never quit this site.
Only the strong survive. Now show us more of that Atomiswave in action!

ah, ok, my question is: why have so many carts if you're not going to play them?

As I said I have become collector. By reading this forum section, I realized that I was not alone to suffer from this disease :D

Beginning of 90s, around me everyone had a SNES or a Genesis (I had a SNES), and like everyone I had a friend who had a friend who had a Neo Geo AES... the Neo Geo was almost an illusion but was so attractive !

At that time, arcade was more present than today and I used to play a lot in bars and game centers (SF2, Final Fight, Golden Axe,...)

That's why I bought my first arcade cabinet (the blue wooden one) in 2003 as soon as I started working. It was equipped with a 4 slot MVS motherboard. I started with a few games (Metal Slug, Last Blade 2, Strikers 1945+...). The (loose) carts were all stored in a shoe box.

Then I bought more games to play with them, but without selling the first ones. I bought shockboxes to store the carts properly and I found my little set beautiful and decided to go in search for the full set : after all it is not impossible to do and the prices are more reasonable than AES.

As the full set includes (few) bad titles or titles I don't like, I don't play to all the games.
