Who Owns All 83 Neo Geo Pocket Titles?

After the recent thread on the sale of a full UK boxed set, I got to wondering how common it is to own a complete Neo Geo Pocket "title set".

To be clear, I am talking about a set of all 83 different titles published for the Neo Geo Pocket regardless of whether they be UK, US, or Japan and regardless of being loose or complete boxed.

For reference, here is the wiki article with the complete title list.

There's some pretty obscure Japanese-only titles which are quite expensive and don't often come up for sale, plus the notorious usual suspects among the English titles - - so I wonder what the value of a complete title set would be?

Thats a hefty list. I have maybe 30 total tops, probably only 3 or 4 games I would like. 2 being Eternal Dungeons and Ogre battle, maybe Magical Drop at some point.

Are any of the casino/mahjong titles any good?

trimmed your list down to the ones I own. I haven't played all of them yet so it'll probably be a while before I get another NGPC game.

I really don't see the appeal in obtaining a full set. I DO see the appeal of getting all the games I would play. I currently have 13 good NGPC games. There are 7 or 8 that I wouldn't mind getting someday, but they include Gals Fighters and Cotton which seem to be fetching too unreasonable of a price for me, at least at the moment.

Sure, there are many useless pachinko titles - - but hidden among them is a good game that doesn't get too much attention: the Japan only puzzle game Delta Warp.

It's easily playable with full English menus and is still generally available for a reasonable price.

Here's a review.

True for me as well.
I only go for loose carts because I don't have any use whatsoever for the manual/box anyway and think someone else will be happier with those. I have been getting only US/EU up till now, but I wouldn't mind having JPN carts (as long as they play in English [with the exception of Ganbare Neopoke-kun :keke:]) of games I can't find a EU/US version of for a reasonable price.

have/want:
Spoiler:
have:
Card Fighters Capcom (EU)

Metal Slug 2nd (US)
Neo Turf Masters (EU)
Pacman (EU)
Pocket Reversi (EU)
Pocket Tennis Color (EU)
Puzzle Bobble (EU)
Puzzle Link (US)
Puzzle Link 2 (US)
Samurai Showodn 2 (EU)
Sonic (EU)

Slim Version Anthracite
Slim Version Transparent

Official Carry Bag
Case Logic Carry Bag

I've been trying to get a complete set since I bought the system back in the day. I've been getting them with time and now I'm down to missing 14, but a few of those have become quite expensive in the last few years (Nigeronpa, Cotton, Super Real Mahjong and KoiKoi Mahjong mainly) so I'm not sure I've I'll ever complete the collection.

Great little system with lots of gems!

Only caveat I'd add is at least the full collection for this system is so small and relatively high in quality, its not crazy to do. Ive seen people try and do it for stuff like the DS, which especially in the middle of its life had so much blue ocean shovelware crap, you were just tossing money into a dumpster fire.

I think mine is about 30 loose games and 2 complete games, just Ogre Battle and a US Biomotor Unitron I bought new. Its a great system, just need to get one backlight modded.

Frontlight you mean... A (way to get a) backlit NGPC (clone) would be fucking awesome. Only second to a real consolization for me...

I've been thinking about doing a front light mod to one of mine. It just seems like in some of the video I've watched they look kinda washed out. I guess I just need to do one and see what I think of it.

The front light mod is not not perfect, but I like it. I like it better than trying to play in a dark room with a light over your head. If I am in a well lit room, I typically won't use my modded one.

It is pretty washed out, it's not just the video. I've got a modded gbc that's the same way.

Yes, that is correct. I have 2-3 of these systems so having one ready to go like that would be perfection.

It would be pretty awesome if someone could figure out how to add some small restats to control screen brightness and contrast. I'm sure space would be an issue.
