Poppy, just play Pirate Warrior. It's still a thing despite the 3 cost to Fiery War Axe. In fact, it doesn't change the deck at all.

If you want to level up, play a cancerous deck, play the one deck, ensure it has over 50% WR, and play HS, lots of HS.

I can't be fucked adhering to those rules.

I might have enough dust to pull that off. I think all I need is a prince and a spine slayer.

I am using a different one. I don't run prince keleseth

this is the vanish rogue. You enter DK mode, next turn, drop an arcane giant, then another off the shadow card, then vanish, repeat.

It's very effective against pesty Evolve Shaman.

Arcane giant x 2
Valeera
Vanish x 2
Gadgetzan Auctioneer x 2
Vilespine x 2
SI:7 Agent x 2
Fan of Knives x 2
Edwin Van Cleef
Mimic pod

Evicerate x 2
Sap x 2
Swashburglar x 2
Patches
Hallucination x 2
Journey Below
Preparation x 2
Counterfeit coin
Backstab x 2

Stay alive at least to turn 8/9 when you can drop valeera. Save your vanishes if you can because you use them to create more giants.

That's generally how I play it. Sometimes I'll be required to use Vanish prior to the Giant drop. I should probably run another Vanish.

Mine runs a little differently, but is pretty much the same;

2 x Arcane Giants
Valeera the Hollow
1 x Vanish
2 x Gadgetzan
2 x Vilespine
Prince Valanar
1 x Shadowblade
2 x Questing Adventurer
1 x Mimic Pod
2 x Fan of Knives
Edwin
1 x Razorpetal Lashes
2 x Eviscerate
Thalnos
2 x Swashbuckler
Patches
2 x Hallucination
2 x Prep
1 x Counterfeit Coin
2 x Backstab

How do you normally mulligan for it? Swashbuckler as a first drop is always gold.

The dream is to get an extra vanish with mimic pod.

I hold backstab, swashburglar, and hallucination. Sometimes I keep edwin. I will toss journey below back in because it’s mainly filler, and having some dickhead thin my deck with a skulking geist pays off for me.

It's a great deck for sure. Quite a bit of control in there too. I need to invest more time with it.

I'm playing a midrange dragon priest and it's much more ladder crush mode than razakus. Perhaps I'm just stupid.

Just went up against one of the funniest Defilelock decks that involved Knife Juggler, immune from Deathspeaker, Grim Patron and Defile. Probably about 50 "Erryone Get in Here" and single Knives to my face for an OTK. I wasn't even mad.

I just drew DK gul'dan and made a pretty slick deck with it.

Warlock is coming back

It’s too hard to get that deck to work consistently. It requires that opponent is a voyeur type.

If you like that, try the fel reaver treachery warlock and blast your opponent into fatigue.

Having never played before...and sort of missing playing MTG...this worth playing from scratch or am I far too late to enjoy?

Figured it was a case of too little, too late, but had to ask.

Charlie is super cynical about the game.

Yet he has an enviable collection and deep knowledge of the game.

This game is for people with some cash to blow. Spend some bucks, open some packs.

It's fun!

I made a pretty cool handbuff divine shield pally deck.

Bolvar
2x blood knights
2x righteous protectors
Tirion
A bunch of 1 and 2 cost divine shield minions
2x meanstreet marshall
1x small time recruits
1x stonehill defender
Lich King
1x Grimestreet outfitter
1x Smugglers run
1x rallying blade

You get the gist.

I'm still figuring out what works the best.
