Unknown actors and Hollywood slores are difficult to come by in modern cinema, so Mr. Bay has quite the challenge ahead of him. Tanksticles are not as easy as they sound to animate, taboot!

To make a Hollywood Metal Slug movie, there would have to be a critical mass of enough Metal Slug fans (in western countries like America) or people that know about the series. Even with a game like Doom, which was popular in America, it took until 2005 for them to make a movie.

That latest Tom Cruise movie (edge of tomorrow) was an adaptation of a manga, which wasn't popular at all. Still the movie was a hit.
I don't believe in this rumour still it'd be great to watch a big-budget movie of Metal Slug.

There aren't many video games that have been made into good/successful movies. eg. Super Mario Bros, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter were all seen as being crap movies. Maybe that's why Hollywood isn't keen on doing them.

He should make a movie about pogs, since he's so adamant on ruining late 80s early 90s shit.

I think the Metal Slug series is like the Shock Troopers games. There would be a lot more fans of it, if more people had a chance to play it.
