I'm pretty sure SH1 is available for like 5 bucks on PSN under PS1 classics.

Thing is its not HD overhauled - on a LCD HD TV the visuals look pretty dated / crappy and the gameplay and controls are also showing signs of age.
Don't have much of an experience with the SH games but I remember I liked SH Homecoming on PS3. Must check out Downpour sometime.

Clocktower (Super Famicom)
Silent Hill 1, 2 (Playstation)
Resident Evil 4 (Gamecube)
The Evil Within (PS4/XB1, haven't decided which, will wait for review comparison)
Nightmare on Elm Street (PC, not the silly NES one. Based on the 3rd movie, has all the Dream Warriors in it, even Amanda Krueger as the nun and is actually pretty good for being dated from 1989. Long game too. Over the top view, plays as a hybrid Action/Adventure game. Worth checking out.)

I will definitely play through Super Castlevania IV.

Maybe play a stage or two of Castlevania The Adventure: Rebirth. I like that game but whoever decided to use those cartoonish sound effects deserves a punch in the face.

Ghouls 'n Ghosts is always good, it's been a while since I've ran through it. I wonder if I can still beat it and save the princess in half an hour.

Psychosis on TG-16...just because it's creepy and has an 'off' vibe.

Christmas is great and all, but Halloween's probably my favorite holiday. I love getting into the spirit - watching horror movies, drinking cider (with spiced rum!), listening to spooky music, etc.

Games I'll be playing:

Nightmare in the Dark (MVS)
Dark Arms (NGPC)
Vampire Savior (SAT)
House of the Dead 2 (DC)
Zombies Ate My Neighbors (GEN)
Super Ghouls n Ghosts (SNES)
Super Castlevania IV (SNES)

I've also begun my annual horror movie marathon leading up to the end of October. This is the list I'm going to try and watch by Halloween: http://letterboxd.com/dspoonrt/list/halloween-horror-movie-season-2014/

Was just talking with a buddy about this.

Something old:
Silent Hill 2

Something new:
Outlast

If I have time, I'll play through Dead Space but I play that every year so I figured I'd spread the love.

I've finished Shadow Hearts already, so might as well continue on with SH: Covenant.

I'll prolly fire up the PS2 and give those 2 shitty Castlevanias a spin....LOI is especially good for halloween with joachim and pumpkin for unlockable characters.

Contra Shattered Soldier might be worth a go as well...since I never finished the fucking thing back in the day.

I'm gonna fire up Alien: Isolation here in a few days. Some good old-fashioned survival horror should do nicely.
Maybe I'll hit up Castlevania Bloodlines or Rondo of Blood too for good measure.
