SAMURAI SPIRITS Nakoruru 27cm. Doll by TAKARA corp, 1993

probably among the very first SAMSHO merchandise ever marketed... a whole princely $13.85 shipped.
probably one of the best EBAY deals i've ever gotten, HELL, one of my best deals EVER...









her packaging was kinda neglected and beat up, but i managed to straighten it all out real nice;

there were at least two versions of this doll TAKARA produced in '93; normal and 2P purple "evil Nakoruru"

far as i know, the normal was a full general sales release, while the 2P was some sort of GAMEST magazine exclusive (JPN general ARCADE and HOME video gaming magazine)






TAKARA produced two more SPIRITS dolls in the late-90's or so, one of Nakoruru, and one of her sister Rimururu;






DAIKI KOGYO, nominally a resin model company, tried their hand at finished character dolls at one time (late 90's/early 00's, i presume)
with two 27cm. Nakoruru dolls of their own, both with different outfits from some of the later SPIRITS entries (i forget which ones)












in VOLKS corp's pre-Dollfie era, they had a fairly extensive line of very small scale character dolls they called the "Ultimate Figure Series"
among them, a lone Nakoruru from the SPIRITS era where Nakorin was re-imagined and/or reincarnated as a tiny forest Sprite;





finally, there are these dolls, which i can only assume are also TAKARA editions of either limited or general release, or perhaps merely one-off customs;

as any detail oriented Nakoruru and/or SAM. SPIRITS/SHODOWN fans out there are probably quite well aware,
there are distinct differences between the styling of Nakoruru's Pantaloons between SAM. SP. I and II,
with the pair supplied with the doll being obviously based on that of the first entry in the series,
what with this doll being such early SPIRITS I specific merchandise and all.

her clothing redesign for SAM. SP. II includes a much fuller and longer pair of Pantaloons,
-their cuffs reaching fully down to her ankles, and the entire garment being quite baggy overall-
since i tend to favor the SPIRITS II redesign, i've went through the trouble of making my Nakorin here
a secondary pair of Pantaloons, modeled as closely as i can from the II design.
i've retained the originals, of course, so i can now essentially switch her between SPIRITS I and II style at will;

The karmic circle continues.

Mahoro Ando, of 1998's "MAHOROMATIC" fame, actually. a true honest-to-gosh Lady that could probably teach Cirno or any of the Touhou girls
a thing or 3000 about good common decency, despite the fact that said decency just simply isn't actually all that common at all...

damn, that is awesome! would love to have that along with her sister rimururu and haohmaru side by side nicely displayable. that would be swwwwweeeeeeet!

made some improvements since, primarily a pair of SPIRITS II-accurate shoes;
